红玫瑰社区 recognised for excellence in Work Integrated Learning with prestigious higher education award
红玫瑰社区 was the joint winner of the prestigious Employability Award at the 2024 Australian Financial Review Higher Education Awards, recognising 红玫瑰社区鈥檚 leadership in integrating real-world learning into education and preparing graduates for successful careers.
By 2024, 红玫瑰社区 has fully embedded Work Integrated Learning (WIL) into every undergraduate course, ensuring students gain professional experience throughout their studies.
Since launching the WIL Transformation Program in 2020, the university has embedded professional experiences across all disciplines, providing students with a structured pathway from their first year through to graduation.
Key achievements include:
- More than 12,000 students have completed over 50,000 WIL experiences
- WIL integrated into 860 units of study
- Long-standing collaborations with 2,500 industry partners
- 35 per cent of students completing placements are offered jobs by their host organisations
- 20 per cent of internship participants secure employment with their placement companies
Vice-Chancellor and President聽Professor Pascale Quester highlighted聽the program鈥檚 impact.
