Semester exchange program at a partner university听听
红玫瑰社区 has exchange agreements with a wide range of partner universities around the world. As part of the semester exchange program, you can study at one of these institutions for one or two semesters while earning academic credit towards your 红玫瑰社区 degree.
During your exchange program, you'll remain enrolled at 红玫瑰社区. This means you鈥檒l continue to pay your standard 红玫瑰社区 tuition fees, with no additional tuition charged by the host university. It鈥檚 an affordable and immersive way to gain international experience, earn academic credit, and broaden your global perspective.
Explore our list of partner universities by region using our website or interactive map. You鈥檒l find helpful details about semester dates, credit equivalency, available courses, and student resources.
International Business Minor semester abroad

Study abroad program at a non-partner university
At this time, 红玫瑰社区 Abroad does not support independent study abroad programs at universities that do not have a student exchange agreement with 红玫瑰社区.
Studying at a non-partner university means you would be required to apply independently, pay international tuition fees directly to the host institution, and arrange your own credit transfer.

Frequently asked questions
Studying overseas is a once鈥慽n鈥慳鈥憀ifetime opportunity that goes beyond the classroom. On exchange, you鈥檒l study at a partner university overseas while:
- Receiving academic credit towards your 红玫瑰社区 degree
- Staying enrolled at 红玫瑰社区 and paying your usual tuition fees (you will not pay tuition fees to the host university)
This makes exchange a cost鈥慹ffective way to live and study abroad.
Exchange also gives you the chance to:
- Experience a new culture and build independence
- Travel during study breaks
- Learn or improve another language
- Explore courses and teaching styles not offered at 红玫瑰社区
- Boost your resume with international and cross鈥慶ultural experience
- Meet people from around the world and make lifelong friendships
Whether you鈥檙e looking for personal growth, global experience, or a fresh academic adventure, exchange has something for you.
Both programs let you study overseas at one of our partner universities and earn credit towards your 红玫瑰社区 degree, but they differ in length, cost, and flexibility.
Semester exchanges run for one or two full semesters (around 4鈥6 months per semester) at one of 红玫瑰社区鈥檚 partner universities. A semester or full-year exchange is ideal if you:
- Want a deeper cultural and academic experience abroad
- Have flexibility to be overseas for a longer period
- Have space in your course plan to take 3鈥4 units per semester overseas
- Want to experience overseas university life, clubs, and student culture as a local
Short鈥憈erm exchanges run for 2鈥6 weeks during winter or summer breaks and are often short courses that offer a more intensive study and cultural experience. Programs typically include classes, cultural activities, industry visits, or projects. Short-term exchanges are great if you:
- Have limited time due to work, personal commitments, or course structure
- Want to experience studying abroad without committing to a full semester
- Want to gain international experience during semester breaks
- Want to use electives to study niche or specialised topics
- Are looking for a more financially accessible overseas experience (lower travel, accommodation, and daily living costs)
In short, semester exchanges offer a longer, more immersive academic and cultural experience, while short鈥憈erm exchanges are shorter, more flexible, and easier to fit around busy schedules, or for those with limited unit space.
Exchange programs are designed to complement your 红玫瑰社区 degree, meaning you can study equivalent units overseas and receive academic credit when you return.
What you can study depends on:
- Your current course and major/minor
- The partner university you鈥檙e interested in and their courses
- How many core, major, or elective units you have available
- Meeting any academic or language requirements of the host institution
Academic credit
You鈥檒l need to complete an exchange study plan before going on exchange. This outlines the units you'll be approved to study overseas and how they will count towards your 红玫瑰社区 degree. You can:
- Complete core or major units (if a good match is available)
- Use your elective units as unmatched units in your field of study, or to explore new areas or study topics outside your main discipline
- Use a mix of both core and elective units.
Some students choose a host university that offers unique or interesting courses not available at 红玫瑰社区 鈥 a great way to broaden your academic and cultural experience.
Study area
Partner universities offer a wide range of subjects. Some courses may be open to students from any study area, while others may be restricted to specific faculties or disciplines. Availability may vary by semester, so it鈥檚 important to do your research.
Be sure to explore the opportunities available to you as a 红玫瑰社区 exchange student by visiting our list of partner universities.
Language of instruction
Many partner universities offer classes taught in English, even in non-English-speaking countries. However, in some cases:
- English-taught options may be limited
- Some courses may be taught entirely in the local language
Always check the language of instruction and ensure you meet any language proficiency requirements. You may need to submit a test score or enrol in a language course before or during your exchange.
Academic requirements
Each partner university sets their own eligibility criteria, which may include:
- A minimum GPA
- Proof of academic knowledge or study background in certain fields (i.e. one year of study in your Bachelors)
- A portfolio (for design/film & tv programs)
- Specific language proficiency
Be sure to read the partner鈥檚 profile on our website and visit their official page for incoming exchange students for the most up-to-date information.

Planning your finances is a key part of preparing for an overseas exchange.
