Overview

To provide additional supervised training that builds on AVF80005, giving students the further flight and simulator hours needed to consolidate and firmly establish competency in multi-crew flight deck operations. The unit reinforces technical proficiency, strengthens Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills for safe and efficient multi-crew operation, and embeds effective CRM and Threat and Error Management (TEM) practices across all phases of operations.

To receive a COMP (Pass) grade for this unit, students must meet ALL requirements below;
1. Complete all syllabus lessons to at least the required level of competency
2. Complete the minimum total practicum hour requirements.
3. Successfully complete the final 2-hour Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) test to the required standard.

• Further simulator-based multi-crew training and jet orientation
• Additional Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) training
• Continued practice of pre- and post-flight briefings
• Additional multi-crew simulator training
• Further general air work multi-crew exercises
• Additional Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) sequences
• Final LOFT test: 2 hours assessing CRM and Flight Conduct
